With a total of 6,000 pages, this digital archive provides some of the primary resources related to the Pan American Scientific Congresses, from the end of the nineteenth century to the Second Pan American Scientific Congress realized during the beginnings of the WWI (1915-1916). Important North American scientists participated, including Thomas Barbour (biologist), Heber Curtis (astronomer) y William Benjamin Smith (physicist). In spite of the prominent such north american delegates would receive, the congresses had actually been originally arisen out of the initiative of scientists from the Southern Cone (Argentina).
